One of the best things about Lake Livingston State Park is the variety of campsites. No matter how you camp, you’ll find a perfect spot:

⛺ Walk-In Tent Sites
If you enjoy a more rustic, tucked-away setup, the walk-in tent area is beautifully shaded and feels like a true nature escape.
No matter which loop you’re in, the roads are easy to navigate, and most sites offer plenty of room and privacy — something every camper appreciates!
🏪 Camp Store & Adventure Center – A Must-See Stop
Next, we popped into the camp store, which is stocked with:
✔ Snacks
✔ Drinks
✔ Souvenirs
✔ Firewood
✔ Everyday essentials you forgot to pack (we all do it 😂)
But the real gem?
The Adventure Center inside!
This area features displays of snakes, gators, and local wildlife, giving you (and especially kids) a chance to learn more about the creatures that call East Texas home. It’s a fun, educational stop that adds a unique twist to the park experience.
🌊 A Walk Down the Pier
One of our favorite moments of the day was walking down the long pier overlooking Lake Livingston. The views are peaceful, the water stretches out beautifully, and the breeze makes it the perfect place to unwind.
Whether you’re fishing, snapping photos, or just enjoying the stillness, it’s one of those spots where time seems to slow down — a little gift from Texas nature.
🚽 Dump Station, Boat Ramp & More — Practical + Fun
For RVers, the dump station is easy to access with plenty of space to pull through — always a win.
But the park offers much more:
🎯 Archery Range
A unique feature you don’t see in many state parks!
🐸 Frog Pond
A cute nature area where you can slow down and enjoy local wildlife.
🚤 Boat Ramp
Perfect for boating, kayaking, or spending a few hours exploring the lake from the water.
