🚍 Big News! After a Year in Our Class C, We Finally Upgraded to a Class A Diesel Pusher!
After a full year of adventures in our beloved Class C RV — affectionately known as “Jenny” — Daniel and I knew it was time for the next chapter. Jenny carried us across the country, kept us safe through storms, and gave us countless memories… but as full-time RVers, we started feeling the limitations. More miles meant more needs. More travel meant more comfort. And more long-term living meant more space.
So the search began!
🔍 Narrowing Down the Class A Diesel Pusher Shortlist
We started with a list of three Class A diesel pushers that had everything we dreamed of:
- Better insulation for colder temps
- Larger tank capacity
- More storage
- A smoother ride for long travel days
- A layout that truly felt like HOME
We researched.
We drove.
We toured.
We asked questions.
We chased leads.
We hit dead ends.
(And yes… we may have annoyed a few salespeople along the way.) 😄
But with every test drive and every floorplan walk-through, our vision became clearer.
🛑 The Waiting Game… and the Dead Ends
If you’ve ever shopped for a used Class A diesel pusher, you KNOW the struggle:
✔ The pictures look great… until you get there.
✔ The listing says “excellent condition”… until you see the roof.
✔ The seller says “no issues”… until the generator won’t start.
We walked away from more than one “almost perfect” rig — and honestly, we’re glad we did.
Every closed door pointed us to the right one.
✨ The Big Reveal: We Chose a 2019 Newmar Ventana!
And then… we found HER.
Our new home on wheels: a 2019 Newmar Ventana — beautiful, solid, well-maintained, and worth every mile we drove to see it.
Newmar’s craftsmanship, insulation, ride quality, and attention to detail immediately stood out. From the moment we stepped inside, we both just knew.
She checked all the boxes:
✔ Diesel power & smooth ride
✔ Spacious layout
✔ High-quality build
✔ Plenty of storage
✔ Strong reputation
✔ Comfortable enough for full-time life
This upgrade wasn’t just about buying a bigger RV — it was about choosing a HOME we can grow into, travel farther with, and feel settled in no matter where the road takes us.
We’re absolutely thrilled… and honestly still a little shocked that she’s ours!
